Symphony Maths

Symphony Maths is designed to help students in kindergarten and first grade develop a strong mathematical foundation in terms of concepts and applications. The program provides an opportunity for young students to develop and practice important mathematical ideas such as:
- number conceptualization;
- one-to-one correspondence; and
- part-to-whole relations.
Symphony Maths extends these important ideas to math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Symphony Maths is intended primarily for reception and year 1 students. The program can also be used with older students who struggle with maths because they have yet to develop a solid conceptual foundation in mathematical reasoning. Symphony Maths is based upon research in the fields of Cognitive Development and Mathematics Education.
